Genre Research: You Get Me

For another one of our reviews we chose You get me. The genres are crime, romance, and thriller. The camera angles mostly used are high, medium close up, closeups, and Dutch/canted. The movements are mostly zooms, pans and very little tilts. The most common sounds were dialogue, footsteps, leaves crunching, and school bells ringing etc. The editing was very seamless and they used a lot of jump cuts, fade ins and outs, and action matches. The movie was mainly about Tyler and Holly. Tyler has an amazing girlfriend named Ally but they break up and he meets Holly. They both have a one night stand but Holly becomes obsessed. One thing I didn't like is that it falls under the crazy ex lover trope, which is often used in movies targeted towards teenagers. One thing I did like is that it had a very good soundtrack and I feel like those are very important. I also liked the casting choices because those are extremely important to how a movie flows.
